healthy banana chocolate ice cream

Clean eating is my mantra but I would be lying if I told you I didn't miss ice cream on the daily. Lately I've been experimenting with re-creating some of my favorite comfort foods with healthy ingredients.  Today's project: ice cream. Did I mention this ice cream only has three ingredients? 

This delicious "ice cream" is dairy free, only contains natural sugars, and has a protein punch.  

You'll need:

  • Frozen bananas
  • Cocoa powder 
  • Organic/natural peanut butter
  • Food processor (or a strong blender)

How to:

Add 1 frozen banana (I freeze them without the peel, personal preference), 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder, and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter into your food processor and process till creamy.  AND you're done! It's that simple.  

It is incredibly delicious and clean eating approved!  To add even more of a powerhouse punch add a scoop of protein powder or top with walnuts. Yum!
